MY FAMILY

My name is Liz; I live with my husband, dachshund and darling baby girl in a small cozy house (good for keeping up with kiddos!) which I keep very clean, tidy and uncluttered.

We try to live as “green” as possible, so all of my cleaning products are natural and non-toxic. We are non-smokers and only rarely drink socially, never while caring for children. I don’t drive recklessly and have a safe SUV (Saturn).

I do like the option of taking the children to the park (Mt. Tabor Park is very close by as is Lost Mountain Park); if acceptable, leaving a car seat with your child would be required.

MY EXPERIENCE

In the past 10 years I have babysat and been a “mother’s helper” quite often, including care of twin boys and their older and younger brothers, infants, toddlers; multiple age ranges and up to 5 at a time. I have also taken children on field trips to the zoo, the park, etc.

I’ve been involved with many children’s programs affiliated with the church or the Georgia Home Education Association convention where I’ve led a team of 6-10 at time with 1-2 helpers. I’m very energetic and fun; I have always loved children and being in a big group of them. I am very confident and comfortable with large groups of children at varied ages.

My last class at the GHEA said I was “the best ever,” which was the nicest compliment in the world when coming from very active youngsters who are stuck in a room all day while their parents attend lectures!  :)

MY PROMISE

Please don’t put your precious babies in an over crowded, under staffed and germ infested commercial daycare!  My former VP of Finance had a two year old that had repeatedly caught pink eye, bronchitis, sinus infections and pneumonia from a top-rated (expensive!) daycare.

When you have just a few children in the care of a real-life mommy, not only can you rest assured that the needs of your pride and joy will be looked after properly, you can also rest assured that your child will excel with the preferred attention.

Studies also show that interaction with other children helps to advance speech and learning as well as social skills vital to life farther down the road.  An in-home situation is perfect for the parent rightfully concerned for their child’s well-being and development.

My personal promise to you is to care for every child, including my own, without bias or prejudice and devote attention to them equally.
